On July 25th, 2012, Jason Smith lost both his legs to an IED while serving in Afghanistan. He has been waging a new battle ever since; one of regaining his health, one of learning to walk again and one to create a new future for himself and his family.

STEPS 2 HOPE JASON SMITH

Steps 2 Hope, family and friends are coming along side of him to honor his service and most of all his courage and magnificent attitude and drive to make a positive contribution in the community and nation he lives in and so unselfishly fought to defend and preserve. Please consider joining our ranks by volunteering and donating to Steps 2 Hope’s next project of building a home for Jason along with the Veterans of North Georgia (VFW Post 3679) and the Ringgold, GA community.

STEPS 2 HOPE LOGO

“In all of the events that we do I have to say this one inspires me to go above and beyond to provide this courageous young man, his wife and baby a new home.” says M. Paige Holt, president of Compass Auctions.  Jason is from the Chattanooga area and this effort will go directly to impact the build right here in our own community. You can give online, donate a board for the build online, or attend one of the outstanding events. This weekend is the Hope Above the Clouds Dinner and attendees will hear an inspiring story from NYFD firefighter Paddy Neville, who was onsite when the twin towers fell on September 11. Compass is looking forward to this event and this build.
