Pistols at the Prison
Pistols at the Prison at Brushy Mtn State Pen presented by Compass is a two-day event that will end with a firearms auction! This is a LIVE and ONLINE event. This Colt Model 1911 U.S. Army has been consigned to Compass without much knowledge from our consignor of the history of this gun. It is in such amazing condition for its age, that Compass has reached out to the top four 1911 restoration companies to verify if the firearm has been restored by any of them. These companies are Turnbull Restoration, Custom Shop Inc., Patriot Gun Polishing, and Old South Restoration – none of them have a record, based on the serial number, of ever having possession of this gun. This Colt 1911 was manufactured in 1914, and its condition is amazing. The pistol comes complete with a factory letter from Colt to authenticate the manufacture of this firearm. According to the letter, this firearm was 1 of 500 Colt 1911s shipped to the U.S.M.C Quartermaster in Philadelphia, PA in 1914. After conducting due diligence, we are unable to confirm nor deny that the condition is original. Please feel free to come inspect this amazing pistol and potentially a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a pistol of this rarity.
