A large selection of Ben Hampton art prints will be made available for purchase at public auction on November 18, 2020 at 6pm ET.
The sale of the prints will be conducted by Compass Auctions, a Chattanooga-based auction firm that offers auction services locally, regionally, and nationally.
“We are hoping that the Chattanooga and surrounding area will appreciate this opportunity to purchase these donated Ben Hampton prints at auction and benefit the Bledsoe County Cancer Care Team”, said Steven W. Holt, head auctioneer for Compass.
The Bledsoe County Cancer Care Team has one mission, to provide comfort for residents in Bledsoe County that are directly impacted by cancer and the related expenses and stress it brings to individuals and families. They most often are called upon to offer financial aid and this fundraiser will be a major part of the funding they will receive for the rest of 2020 and into next year.
Ben Hampton is a beloved Chattanooga artist renowned for his illustration and paintings depicting many local and southern heritage inspired works. Next year will mark his 100th birthday and the auction is another way to show appreciation for his efforts and display his wonderful eye for detail and subdued color palette choices.
