ChaTech CXO Auction 2019 Compass Auctions

ChaTech CXO Auction 2019

Compass Auctions will be providing the auction services for the 2019 ChaTech CXO Auction. The event will be a LIVE AUCTION with Webcast bidding available on August 22, 2019 with a 5pm ET start.

Just announced! CxOs from BlueCross BlueShield of TN, Unum, Kenco, City of Chattanooga, and Volkswagen have been confirmed!

What is the CxO Auction? The CxO Auction is a unique party to raise funds for ChaTech programs. The event combines a fun dinner with the opportunity for technology service providers, hardware/software vendors and consultants to bid for various meetings with CxO tech leaders from major enterprise companies the area.

The CxO tech leaders include chief information officers, chief information security officers and other C-Suite decision-makers—hence the generic title of CxO. Representing some of the area’s largest companies and employers, the CxO’s are key consumers of tech-related products and services.

The highlight of the night is the fun—sometimes silly—and fast-paced auction of the 2-hour meeting with the CxOs. The CxO who raises the most money wins the title of The Big Cheese, complete with a 3-D printed cheese trophy. We end the night with the opportunity for individuals and companies to make contributions to the ChaTech Scholarship Fund for the 2020 ChaTech Scholars.

Why come to the CxO Auction? For some people, it’s the pure fun and for some it’s the opportunity to support important ChaTech programs.

For others, the real draw is to make connections with IT leaders from Chattanooga’s biggest companies. If you’ve been unable to get through the door to see one of these CxOs, here’s the chance to bid for that meeting—and to be in his/her good graces at the outset. CxOs typically go for $1,000-$7,500 at Auction.* Bids may be tax deductible as a donation to ChaTech.

*Bids are expected to be paid the night of the auction. Please contact the ChaTech office if you wish to bid but cannot complete payment.

August 2019 Motorcycle Missions Auction Sturgis

Motorcycle Missions Charity Auction

Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, and Motorcycle Missions, a non-profit organization that helps veterans and first responders find hope and healing through motorcycle therapy, today announced a motorcycle build-off competition between two groups of veterans and first responders in Dallas and Austin, Texas. The two teams will each design and build a custom Indian Chief Dark Horse to raise money for Motorcycle Missions. Each custom bike will then make its way to the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to be auctioned off on Tuesday, August 6, at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel and Casino, with all proceeds benefitting Motorcycle Missions.

Each team consists of members who have formerly served in the military or as first responders, including several branches of the U.S. military and even local Austin and Dallas police and fire departments, for as many as three decades. Though each individual’s story is unique, these groups of heroes were brought together by their shared passion of motorcycles to find healing through this common thread.

Each team is comprised of members who have distinctive histories of service. Among this year’s competitors is Team Dallas’ John Arroyo, Army veteran and survivor of the Fort Hood, Texas shooting in 2014. After recovering from severe wounds, Arroyo received the highest non-combat honor for valor.

Team Austin will be flanked by Robert Richman, a law enforcement official of over 25 years. Richman specialized in multiple disciplines and has helped patrol crimes such as critical incident hostage negotiations, human-trafficking and child abuse.
